When a city renowned across the world as the “City that never sleeps” holds an event like “White Night” – you know you’re in for a treat. “White Night”, one of Tel Aviv’s biggest events of the year, is a traditional annual citywide celebration which keeps the city up all night – everything is open and everything is happening across the city at the same time…

From the early evening and until dawn, the city becomes packed with tourists and locals, high on life and enjoying everything on offer, from shops and eateries to cinemas and culture venues – free of charge or at reduced rates, all night long!

The origin of this now world-famous event dates back to 2003 when UNESCO declared the "White City", Tel Aviv’s largest architectural collection of Bauhaus style buildings a world cultural heritage site, giving it a unique status in the architectural heritage of the modern era.

This historic declaration has been celebrated yearly ever since by Tel Aviv-Jaffa in a series of white night events, named after the "White City" and Tel Aviv’s other well-known characteristic: being “The City That Doesn’t Stop”.

The White Night is a celebration of numerous events held throughout the city, which seems to expand with every passing year. In recent years, the celebrations  included (to name just a few): a unique midnight public picnic, an epic headphones party in the city’s main square, countless live music concerts, amazing indoor as well as street theatre performances, fascinating nighttime tours, night sports classes , Yoga at sunrise, and of course countless epic parties, all taking place all night across the city at the same time.
